We accept three trainee multi-skilled mechanics to EFZ level specialising in maintenance in our apprentice workshop each year. We also cover the Swiss “M-Profile” (professional maturity level) for students meeting the appropriate academic standards.
The young trainees complete a two-stage training programme. For the first two years, the focus is on achieving machining skills such as turning, cutting and drilling, as well as various other manual skills. External training units at Swissmechanic Lenzburg round out the programme. Trainees spend the last two years in daily working activities with an experienced mechanic. They are looked after by skilled and experienced vocational trainers in the in-house training workshop and during on-the-job training.
Trainees are selected in the year before the training course starts. Short-listed school-leavers are invited to participate in trial apprenticeship days.
