slowUp Brugg Regio 2024 - 11.08.2024

The slowUp recipe is as simple as it is convincing: take wide roads in an attractive landscape, close them to motorised traffic for a day and provide a varied supporting programme along the route. The result is a festival unlike any other: Young and old, families and singles, exercise enthusiasts and pleasure-seekers enjoy the cheerful atmosphere in a motor-free environment.

slowUp routes are as flat as possible. You can choose your own pace and distance. We recommend using your own muscle power or public transport to get there and back. Participation is free of charge.

The slowUp success story is impressive. Since its launch in 2000 as a pre-event to Expo.02, slowUp has experienced rapid growth. The number of events and the number of participants has increased year on year. In a short space of time, the idea has become a national event, one of the largest in terms of the number of active participants. Up to more than 500,000 people take part in one of the now 18 slowUp events every year (as of 2023).
